The light bulb moment

Contrary to popular belief, Thomas Edison didn’t invent the light bulb. However, he did perfect it, and in doing so, made it accessible to everyone. During his lifetime, he also aspired to change the way we powered our light bulbs, and famously looked to the sun saying “what a source of power”. Now, over 143 years later, Enphase have perfected solar energy, making it accessible to all. It’s the light bulb moment light bulbs have been waiting for.

ACTIVATION

Enphase Energy’s affordable solar technology is finally making the sun’s power as accessible as Edison had hoped. But one place prohibiting solar power, ironically, is Edison’s hometown of Milan, Ohio. With the help of Edison’s descendants, we set out to change that—canvassing the town, working with enphase engineers on multiple proposals, and ultimately, securing permission to power Thomas Edison's original home with solar.
